Artificial turf that looks real

Turf has become the default lawn on beach lots and in yards with dogs and shade. We install it on a compacted, well-drained base with proper edging and infill, seam it invisibly, and finish it against pavers and beds so the edge is clean. It stays green through drought, never needs mowing, and drains faster than most lawns.

Retaining walls and seat walls

Sloped lots, raised patios and pool surrounds all need walls that hold. We build them in segmental block with geogrid where the height calls for it, and in natural stone for a softer look. Seat walls at patio height double the seating on a patio and give a fire pit its edge.

Drainage and grading

Most yard problems on the coast are water problems. Standing water after storms, wet crawl spaces and washed-out beds come from grade that sends water the wrong way. We regrade, install French drains and channel drains, and use permeable paver joints so the yard dries in an hour instead of a day.

Coastal planting

Plants near the Gulf have to take salt spray, wind and sand. We plant palms, sea oats, muhly grass, yaupon holly, agave and other species that thrive here, set beds with drainage and mulch or shell, and add irrigation where it is needed.

Shell, gravel and crushed-stone drives

In the 30A towns and on larger lots, crushed shell and stone drives are traditional and practical. We build them on a base like any other drive, with edge restraint so they stay where they belong, and refresh existing drives that have thinned out.
